U2 Sphere Residency Adds More Dates as Sucess Continues

The Las Vegas Sphere has proven to be a massive success since the very beginning of the U2 residency. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the group is not planning to conclude their performances at the Sphere in Las Vegas once the initial 25 dates wrap up on December 16. The band has officially confirmed an extension, which will encompass an additional 11 shows scheduled for January and February of 2024, bringing the total number of concerts at the new venue to 36, for the time being. As a matter of fact, the newly added performances are officially scheduled for January 26, 27, and 31, as well as February 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 15, 17, and 18.

It remains uncertain whether there will be further extensions beyond these dates. In an interview with Variety at the beginning of the residency, U2’s manager, Irving Azoff, mentioned that the band has the option to continue at the Sphere for two more years. However, Azoff also revealed that other yet-to-be-announced acts have been scheduled for the Sphere in 2024.

The announcement also emphasized that general-admission floor tickets will be “restricted from transfer” and may only be resold at the original ticket price. This policy is intended to reduce ticket scalping and maintain ticket prices at their face value for the benefit of fans.

On Ticketmaster, the 25 previously announced dates for 2023 are completely sold out, except for hotel/VIP packages. On the StubHub resale site, the cheapest available tickets for upcoming dates have been priced around $400-500, with prices increasing significantly from there, despite their original face value starting at $150.

The general ticket sale will kick off at 11 a.m. PT on October 25 via Ticketmaster.
