New York City-based Techno prodigy Charles D just dropped a nostalgic and re-released ‘Amplify’. The single is accompanied by a sweet remix featuring Placebo eFx. The underground label Deep Tech Los Angeles brings this EP to life, while the label’s founder Placebo eFx added a sinister sound to the groovy beats of Amplify. Shortly after the beginning of the label in 2019, Charles D was already amplifying his influence in the underground scene when the original mix was released. Currently, the rebranding of the song four years later makes sense. Bigger, better, and menacing.
Both tracks are as deep as they are grungy. The consistent pace of the songs resembles the feeling of driving at night on the way to a rave. Good vibes and filthy beats. The remix is definitely the ride to the afters, as the darkness is boosted with eerie harmonies. This combo will definitely make for a great night.
This release becomes the last one out of three that Charles D has provided to the audience in 2023. The American DJ released the first two EPs: Don’t Stop and Choir’s Palace with Drumcode, one of Beatports’ favorite Techno labels. Drumcode consistently charts in the Top 10, since its releases gain massive global popularity frequently. Moreover, Charles D is no stranger to releasing tracks under influential labels, as he has many tracks with Factory 93 and today’s imprint Deep Tech Los Angeles. He has also played with Techno powerhouses Eli Brown and Adam Beyer this year, rocking stages all over the Americas. The excitement does not end there! The DJ and producer will form part of the Resistance lineup this Fall at M2 in Miami to continue the first year of residence. We can’t wait to see him bring the heat this November 18th in South Beach.
‘Amplify’ is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t forget to support Charles D on his socials and when he visits your city.
