Amsterdam Dance Event has just added a new unreal location for what will surely become one of its most legendary parties at this year’s edition. Today, Armada Music, Armin Van Buuren‘s label, announced a partnership with Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam ADE. This unique partnership has one goal only: to bring to life the first-ever DJ sets performed in one of the airport’s 360-degree-view watch towers.
Amsterdam Dance Event is quite possibly the biggest party in all of the dance music industry. For a whole week, the entire city becomes a festival area. Dozens of different events, and hundreds of DJs performing. The biggest festivals and the best event curators. It is as if everything involving dance music came together in one single spot. A raver’s dream come true.
Such an event wouldn’t be possible without a city that has a certain level of tradition and knowledge of the culture of dance music. That being said, there’s probably no better place than Amsterdam to find exactly just that. The Dutch capital is home to some of the world’s most unreal venues. For years, they’ve all become home to some of the most exciting and unique performances the industry has seen.

Now, Armada Music seems ready to take a shot at having the most iconic performance at this year’s ADE. Techno pioneer Joris Voorn and trance legend Ferry Corsten will each perform a one-hour set. Both sets come as part of the label’s flagship livestream series ‘Armada In The Mix’. Both shows will be broadcast via Armada Music TV on Wednesday, October 18.
Maykel Piron, CEO and co-founder of Armada Music gave a brief statement regarding what this very special opportunity means to him and the Armada team. He said, “we wanted to go all out for ADE this year, especially with it being the Armada’s 20th anniversary“.
“It’s not every day that our artists get the opportunity to perform in one of the world’s most famous airports, and what better way to commence our biggest ADE program to date!”
