‘Cutting Shapes,’ released via HEXAGON/Spinnin’ in 2016 is arguably one of Don Diablo‘s most successful records. Today the Dutch producer returns to Spinnin’ with an updated version of the track, ‘Still Cutting Shapes‘.
The original ‘Cutting Shapes’ music video has blown up since its 2016 release, having accumulated over 57M views, thanks to its mass appeal within the shuffle community, in which the term ‘Cutting Shapes‘ originated. In the new version, Don pays homage to the shuffle community once again with a fresh dance-pop track that hits the club space while also having solid crossover potential. No doubt we’ll be hearing this one at the finest music festivals all summer long.
“My fans have been asking me to do a throwback to my traditional piano house sound, so making a brand new version of one of my biggest tracks was a no-brainer. When I started to play it out in my shows, I got so many requests to release it we had to oblige. Being reunited with Spinnin’ Records for this release feels like everything is going full circle.
