As the world welcomes the first day of summer today, so do Lane 8 fans. It’s official Mr. Goldstein releases his Summer 2023 mixtape today! Out now on all platforms, this third mixtape of the year spans for almost three hours.
The Summer mixtape is just in time to cure the festival blues fans are having from the two Summer Gatherings held by This Never Happened in New York and San Francisco.
Let’s dive into discussing the tracks. I don’t know about all of you but I really grooved to the first ID that had a mix of Yotto’s ‘Just Over‘. Daniel never fails to surprise us with all the IDs and how diverse each of his mixtapes are. Speaking of IDs, there are 12 unlabeled ones – including Le Youth and Jyll’s that fans caught at Forest Hill during the summer gatherings. I tear a little as I hear ‘No Captain’ play at the 8 minute mark. The new remix of the classic with ‘Via Infinita‘ by Estiva brings back the essence of Little by Little Daniel.
