NGHTMRE and Big Gigantic are back with a new single, “Back for More,” five years after their first collaboration, “Like That.” The aptly-titled track is a perfect blend of the two artists’ styles—old-school dubstep, high-pitched vocals and, of course, the sax sounds and live instruments for which Big G is so well-known.
With the release of this new single, Gigantic NGHTMRE, the collaborative project of Big Gigantic and NGHTMRE, also announced they will be releasing an EP soon. The EP will be their first release since their 2019 single “Like That.” They will also play their first headline show of 2023 at the infamous Brooklyn Mirage in New York City on July 30. The following month, they will take the stage together at Canada’s Shambhala Festival.
The artists had kind words to say about each other in terms of this collab:
“I remember discovering Big Gigantic’s music while wandering around as a fan at Camp Bisco in 2012! I got the chance to collaborate with them in 2018 and it was a no brainer! Once we dropped ‘like that’ we got the opportunity to play some of the biggest festivals around the US and they’ve been some of the best memories I’ve had so far in music. We finally found time to write music together this year and we are so so proud of how this music is sounding. So stoked to share it with the world!!” – NGHTMRE
“Tyler and I got this idea for a song after one of our shows that has sax and bass on the drop and we added this sick vocal to it. It’s a song that really blends our two styles together and I really love the way it turned out.” – Big Gigantic
NGHTMRE will be performing numerous times in Las Vegas over the summer and then at festivals like North Coast Music Festival and Lost Lands in the fall. You can catch Big Gigantic at Northern Nights Music Festival and Rowdytown at Red Rocks in late September. Both are playing NYC’s Electric Zoo and Georgia’s Imagine Music Festival.
