After a busy European touring season with Elderbrook and YOTTO, British electronic DJ / production duo TIBASKO are bringing their techno soundscapes to North America. The duo will be making city debuts and starting their tour off in Montreal on July 7 before making stops at major cities Dallas, Seattle, Denver, and Brooklyn. Accompanying their tour announcement is their two track double hitters ‘U Want It‘ and ‘Dayglow‘.
‘U Want It’ starts off with vibrant vocal chops and head bumping drums which progresses listeners forward into a rhythmic synth progression. ‘Dayglow’ starts off slower but is just as club ready of a single for club and radio play. Much more relaxed than ‘U Want It’, the track is perfect to vibe to as a refined melody and tasteful grooves set the tone throughout.
Childhood friends Ken Petalcorin and Andy Bowden make up TIBASKO and have come a long way from growing up in Hertfordshire/the Philippines and Japan, bonding over music and making tunes in their bedrooms. Their tasteful musical talents complement each other as they’ve built up an expansive discography that has seen support from names such as Jon Hopkins, Bonobo, HAAi, DJ Seinfeld, I. JORDAN… and many others. Additionally, their music has been featured on (Mixmag’s Best Singles of 2022, Hottest Records, Future Stars, BBC Radio 1 Mini Mixes, and Rinse takeovers. Their momentum is at an all time high and will continue to soar through the rest of the year.
