A State of Trance 2024 will relocate from its main city of Utrecht to Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second-largest city. Armin Van Buuren’s flagship trance festival next year will have a grand weekend experience for all trance fans to enjoy. Ranging from artist Q&As to panels, from pre-parties to demo-drops, A State of Trance 2024 (also popularly known as ‘ASOT’) will provide an exceptional two days filled with world-class musical programming.
A State of Trance 2024 expands to a new city
Next year’s ASOT relocating to Rotterdam marks the end of Utrecht being the host city for over the past decade. The plans for the upcoming 2024 festival include expanding the event’s programming into daytime with activities that include the aforementioned masterclasses, demo-drops, panels, artist Q&As. A State of Trance 2024 will take place during the weekend of February 23-24, 2024 at Rotterdam’s Ahoy. To emphasize the importance of the exciting news, ASOT moving to Rotterdam shows that the festival is truly making its presence known as the epicenter of trance music.

Last week, Armin van Buuren invited Ruben de Ronde, Ferry Corsten, and Benno de Goeij to collaboratively release the A State Of Trance (ASOT) 2024 Anthem.The news about the festival relocating to Rotterdam came from the latest (and special) episode of ASOT Radio. The live broadcast was followed by an exclusive performance by the trance legend. After the performance, Armin stated his excitement for the ASOT brand’s future.

“Utrecht has been an incredible place for the past years. We’ve all made countless memories there; I myself even went to my first rave in the Jaarbeurs venue back in 1993, and I’ve also hosted my first Armin Only show there. But unfortunately, they’re tearing down the iconic hall that housed our mainstage every year, so we’ve no choice but to look elsewhere. So I’m proud to say that we’re moving A State of Trance from Utrecht to…Rotterdam! The city offers infinite possibilities to build out and strengthen the legacy of A State of Trance and I’m thrilled for us to build an even more exciting future for A State of Trance in Rotterdam!”

To celebrate A State of Trance relocating to Rotterdam, the theme of next year’s festival will be “DESTINATION”. A State of Trance 2024 will see over 70 artists conducting their own innovative performances across five stages. The multiple stages will give fans the chance to experience musical diversification at its finest.
Rotterdam, the host city of A State of Trance 2024
The city of Rotterdam will expect over half of A State of Trance 2024‘s visitors to come from overseas. In fact, next year’s festival will witness the debut of the A State of Trance Hotel. Furthermore, the hotel will have its grand opening during the festival weekend and many daytime activities will occur there. Additionally, the A State of Trance Hotel will be the official hub for ASOT fans during the weekend. The A State of Trance Hotel will be a place to comfortably rest after a long but memorable night of dancing to amazing trance music.
Travel/hotel packages and ticket sales approaching soon
Fans will be able to purchase a variety of travel packages for A State of Trance 2024. Some of the packages include rooms in the A State of Trance Hotel and others without. Travel packages will go on sale June 26 at 20:00 CEST. Finally, visit the ASOT Festival‘s official website to pre-register for A State of Trance 2024. For registered users, the sale of weekend tickets (with prices starting at €69.00) and travel/hotel packages will start at 19:00 CEST. One hour later, the regular ticket sale will start.
