Swedish House Mafia announced some big news at the beginning of the week. As a matter of fact, the popular trio will perform at Big Slap Festival this summer in Malmö, the third largest city in Sweden. SHM will take the stage on Friday, August 4th.
Swedish House Mafia revealed the news on their socials on Monday, with the caption “We are coming home“. This will be the first-ever performance for the group in Malmö. Earlier, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello were confirmed for Big Slap. However, Axwell now joins them, and the entire trio will take over the set originally reserved for Ingrosso.
Established in 2013, Big Slap Festival has surged to become one of Sweden’s largest electronic dance music festivals, with a two-day program. Every day the festival can attract 15,000 people from all over southern Sweden and Copenhagen who come together for an unforgettable experience. Swedish House Mafia will not be the only electronic music trio to play at Big Slap this year, as 3 Are Legend, consisting of Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, and Steve Aoki, will also perform at the festival. Other artists confirmed include Burna Boy, French Montana, Bebe Rexha, Rita Ora, Armin Van Buuren, Hardwell, Salvatore Gannaci, and W&W.
