Enrico Sangiuliano has announced his Physical Change EP will drop a week before his first SOLO event in the United States.
Sangiuliano’s NINETOZERO—a transient record label set for 10 chapters—saw huge success with their latest release of Charlotte de Witte‘s Reflection EP. Physical Change will be a two-track EP and has a time-limited imprint on Friday, May 5th. The following Saturday, the Italian producer will perform his next SOLO event at 99 Scott in Brooklyn.
Italian techno DJ and producer Enrico Sangiuliano is known for his techno sound and one of contemporary dance music’s most influential talents. The dance pioneer has a lengthy resume of iconic performances and recently announced the launch of his 10-chapter, transient record label NINETOZERO, along with its correlative SOLO all-night-long event series, which give new perspective into his sound. He and Charlotte de Witte announced their engagement in early 2021.
According to Sangiuliano’s representative:
“Having previously explored the notion of silence, space and reflection through his NINETOZERO catalogue, Sangiuliano’s newest chapter analyses [sic] the concept of change, in all its forms. Tethered to the roots of NINETOZERO’s overruling theme of time, the forthcoming opus expresses the narrative of mutation and evolution within sound. Both obvious and imperceptible changes are inevitable, shaped by the uniqueness of the setting, the ear and the way in which it is emitted. Much like physical and chemical change, metamorphosis within sound is the only constant, despite our inability to recognise [sic] some of the microscopic variations.”
The two upcoming tracks present as distinct techno cuts with the melodic complexities we’ve come to expect from Sangiuliano. Physical Change will follow in the footsteps of NINETOZERO’S preceding chart-toppers.
His SOLO event will mark the series’ first US edition since its inception last year. Tickets for Enrico Sangiuliano Presents NINETOZERO SOLO #6 are available for purchase here.
