Space’s Legendary Lucaz is Back with His Ideal MMW Itinerary

Back in December, we asked Space‘s own legendary Lucaz Zaglul to share his best picks for food, drink, and party during New Year’s Eve, and the feedback was tremendous. Known as a notorious foodie and purveyor of parties, Lucaz dished on some fantastic hidden gems worth checking out between parties. Now he’s back to do the same for Miami Music Week. We asked him to give us a full hour-by-hour itinerary during whatever slice of Music Week he found most appealing.

Thursday: Floyd and Space

Thursday is a big day for the out-of-town ravers to trickle in. The rest of you will undoubtedly be recovering from Afterlife at Factory Town. Many let the excitement take over and plans get hazy before even unpacking your disco boots. Take it from me: start with a disco nap. Set your alarms for 1am and get a fresh start at the perfect spot to set the groove for the weekend ahead. You guessed it, the tucked-away sound heaven known as Floyd Miami. You’ll be right in time for Israel’s finest, Mita Gami which will be closing down the room from 2-5am. You’re just getting started. The rite of passage includes your first sunrise of the big week with no other than Fisher B2b Paco Osuna on the Space terrace. Don’t get too twisty, it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Friday Morning: Post-Space Breakfast

Call an Uber and set the destination to Adelita’s Cafe. Here you will find the most Latino breakfast of them all, Honduran pupusas. Think of a thick, soft, warm griddle cake made with cornmeal and stuffed with cheese, beans, or pork cracklings (or a combination of all) topped with fresh cabbage slaw and pico de gallo. You must also order a baleada de huevo to fully teleport to Central America with this breakfast of champions! My pro tip for this one: order the giant oxtail or beef rib stew to-go. This bad boy will be your lifesaver at the end of the week. Store it in your hotel mini fridge with a post-it note “Break In Case of Emergency”. The more days it sits, the better it gets. You’ll be back to life in no time.

Friday Afternoon: Mia Market

You’re slipping into a morning breakfast siesta, don’t fight it. Catch a few z’s and make your way to Mia Market in the design district. This stop will make you forget all the fancy yet mediocre sushi options in town, and you won’t have to stress trying to secure a reservation at such atrocious clubstaurants. Here at Mia Market, you will find the freshest sushi fish in town with a maestro behind its blade, Yasu Tanaka with incredible tasting menus, and a la carte options as well. If you’re feeling feisty, hit up the latest newcomer in the market: Bocadoro. You’ll find the runniest tortilla Española in town, the cheesiest croquetas (real croquetas), and a selection of the flakiest sandwiches loaded with your choice of jamón and queso. Pair with some crisp Spanish wines at the bar and you’re cruising across this perfect Friday afternoon. Don’t skip on dessert, their homemade Basque cheesecake will satisfy all cravings.

You’ll want another disco nap before the function.

Friday Night at Factory Town

By now, you’re ready to get the marathon going and there’s no point in wasting more time trying to get a reservation around town. The FOMO is kicking in so make your way to Factory Town where all three Paradise, Black Coffee, and LinkMiamiRebels showcases will be happening simultaneously! It’ll be the first time in Factory history that both main stages will be running, in addition to three more stages around the premises. That’s five stages – basically a complete festival with one ticket granting access to all! You’re going to want to get your munchies in before the bender.

Factory Town Eats & Beats

Go to the main food hallway and experience the best street tacos, smash burgers, fermented dough pizza pies, gluten-free protein waffle sandwiches, and peruvian/japanese dishes. This week we have Factory first-timers joining the fun – The Salty Donut! Keep a lookout for their custom daily donuts to match the party vibes. If you’re lucky, you will bump into our new Chilean empanadas and alfajores stand. Great news for VIP ticket holders, Infinity Room’s VIP lounge will be equipped with a brand-new Omakase bar built just for you! It’s literally an 8-seater with locally respected sushi chefs ready to give you a rave experience unlike anything you’ve seen before! Pro-tip: snag a seat before anyone else at the Omakase bar to witness a spectacular sunset while Cole Knight, Bontan, and Riva Starr get you in the mood!

For dessert, hop on over to Jojo’s Tea Ceremony Bar right next to it and get ready to dance the night away! Be ready to catch Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, and Loco Dice b2b Seth Troxler in the Infinity Room. Keep strolling around the Town like Dora to find East End Dubs, Archie, and Rossi at Espacio Proximo. Be witness to the first Warehouse stage rave since last year with no other than heavy hitters like Dubfire, Chloe Caillet, Ameme b2b Ben Sterling. The sound in there will be ground bending!

Full send into the deeper areas of Factory Town at The Park stage with Black Coffee, ANOTR, WhoMadeWho, and more! Cross over the cypress dome and into Cypress End for Dan Ghenacia and Voitgmann sealing the deal for a grungy evening.

Saturday Sunrise at Space

As sunrise peaks up over the horizon, it’ll be time to put this bender into fifth gear and head on back to Club Space to taste the first-ever Space Sour beer created purely for the terrace only. It’s a limited batch so crack open a cold one before they run out! The Space Trip sour beer is brewed with handpicked flavors by the team including pineapple, peach, and Florida blossom honey flavors. Move over mimosas, there’s a new sunrise bubbly to quench that steamy morning rave thirst! A cold Space Sour at sunrise paired with the sounds of Michael Bibi, you’re in for the Best. Sunrise. Ever.
