The past weekend, Fred again.. returned to the city that never sleeps for 3 sold out shows at Terminal 5. The UK producer has been making huge waves in the industry after the release of his collab with Swedish House Mafia ‘Turn on The Lights again...’. We also can’t forget his viral boiler set room that now has over 7 million streams on youtube.
On Friday night, Joy Anonymous started off the night at 9pm before Fred took the stage. Having attended Terminal 5 many times over the years, this was the most crowded show I had ever been to and for good reason. Not only is Fred making waves recently with his upcoming album Actual Life 3, he is one of the most talented producer/DJ’s in the world that is as authentic as it can get. His music expresses his genuine self, often basing his music by sampling videos off of his personal real life encounters. His music has gotten his fans emotionally invested throughout the pandemic, due to the raw uncut emotions expressed.
Throughout his performance, Fred displayed his experiences on a LED screen that was shaped like a mobile phone. There were no fancy lasers or lights either, it was just Fred’s music, energy, and charisma bringing musical joy and delight to the crowd. From start to finish, Fred taking the helms with his soulful vocals got everyone in the venue singing along. There were too many good moments to point out but I personally loved every moment of when he played ‘Kammy (like i do)’ and ‘Billie (Loving Arms)’. His recent single ‘Delilah (pull me out of this’ was also a vibe with its upbeat, fast paced energy that is fun to dance to.
Fred’s upcoming album Actual Life 3 will be coming out on October 28 which you can preorder here.
