Norwegian DJ and producer Matoma brought his talents to the iconic Brooklyn Mirage last Thursday for a sold out night, performing right before the Chainsmokers.
Matoma also known as Tom Lagergren, is no stranger in the European festival circuit. Constantly headlining European festivals and selling out solo shows, his DJ style is perfect for festival and club play. Since making his debut in 2015, he has joined the ranks of electronics’ most popular and innovative new stars, prompting Rolling Stone to declare him the “leader of tropical house’s next big wave”.
The past Thursday, Matoma performed to thousands of fans at the best outdoor venue in New York. Since it was an early Thursday show, he took the decks at 9:00pm, the Mirage was already packed as eager fans were excited to see him play. Right off the bat, he got the crowd going with his infectious, upbeat house music. His whole set was a vibe and seeing him dance around in the DJ booth only makes you want to dance along. There were only good vibes that night as he played crowd favorites such as ‘Good Vibes’, ‘All Night’, and “Summer Feeling’. We also have to talk about his latest release with A R I Z O N A ‘Heart So Big’ which is the perfect summer feel good singalong song.
