Lightning in a Bottle is known for its great music and crowds. But they are also one of the leading festivals for learning and culture programming. “The Compass” area of the festival leads talks, workshops, and performances, from a variety of thought-leaders and experts in their field. Today, Do LaB announced their lineup of programs for their Memorial Day Weekend festival happening this upcoming May 25-30.
Programming this year will run the bandwidth from understanding microbiomes in regenerative soil to looking at cryptocurrency through an economic lens. There will be classes focusing on queer culture, prayer technology, and wildfire prevention. There will be self work classes around ritual, chanting, and psychic development; and speakers from Billy Carson to Queen Afua. There is even a class on how to speak to the police.
The Compass will also feature a Learning Kitchen and act as a culinary hub for those who want to improve their skill. The kitchen will feature classes like: Praise Cheezus: Elevated Nut Cheese, Curry Deconstructed: Ayurveda and Spices, and Slow Food and Sour Dough Pizza. Yum!
In addition to all these wonderful classes, there is a stage for music as well. SG Lewis will be spinning, as well as WhoMadeWho, Andre Power, and Sasha Marie.
