Few artists are able to maintain a stranglehold on their respective genres the way some of the legends can. Armin van Buuren with trance, Hardwell with big room, and even Chris Lake with tech-house. Today, we bring you a song from the last of these three. The song in particular is a remix from our favorite Swedish trio, the Swedish House Mafia as well as Toronto’s The Weeknd. If you haven’t figured it out by now, the remix is of SHM & The Weeknd’s ‘Moth To a Flame‘. If you’re a fan of any three of these artists, you’re going to want to check this one out.
Moth To A Flame Remix
In familiar Chris Lake fashion, this song is a total bop. It features the thick, punchy drums we’ve come to know his productions for, as well as the unique sound design that we just can’t get enough of. While the remix is what I would consider being on the minimal side, it works great. The angelic vocals of The Weeknd truly shine when laid over the instrumental work of Chris Lake. When I say minimal I only mean in relation to Chris’ original music. This tune is anything but minimal. After giving the tune a listen for yourself, I’m sure you can see exactly what I’m talking about.
With a total runtime of four minutes and thirty-eight seconds, this is a song that we just can’t get enough of. If you’re into tech-house or just dope remixes, this is a tune for you. Having said that,t if you’re a Chris Lake, SHM, or The Weeknd fan, you won’t want to miss this one. The Chris Lake remix of Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd‘s ‘Moth To A Flame‘ is out now on SSA Recordings, and can be streamed below. Enjoy!
