ODESZA fans are buzzing this week after the duo launched a mysterious new campaign seemingly called ‘Welcome to The Last Goodbye‘.
It started with the rollout of a simple microsite, which prompts fans to enter their email and phone number to receive an automated text message from ODESZA that says “Welcome to The Last Goodbye.” Fans were left with unanswered questions, which of course led to speculation across the internet. Does this signal the end of ODESZA? Is this just the name of a new album? What does the duo have in store for us in the coming months?
Nonetheless, the saga continues as ODESZA just dropped the next hint in the form of a cryptic new teaser posted on a new password-protected microsite. This time, the clue leaves fans a little more hopeful as the microsite reads: “Do stories ever really end?”
Once fans enter the password (‘tlg’ according to ODESZA’s Twitter), they are taken to an audio clip played in reverse. Fans reversed the audio to discover it was a 30-second clip of ODESZA members Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight as children. You can hear the reversed clip below, thanks to Festive Owl.
