Habstrakt just released his latest song called ‘High‘ on HARD RECS. The groovy house track is perfect for the dancefloor and the upcoming festival season. Even though ‘High’ is not the usual aggressive Bass house genre that the Frenchman has accustomed us to over the years, it is surely a tune that is worth listening to loudly. Let’s take a deeper look at the record.
Back in October of last year, Habstrakt released ‘Eternity’, a collaboration with his fellow countryman Tchami. The song features Lena Leon on vocals. By listening to ‘High’, you can immediately notice a similarity between the two songs. Both have a long and groovy bassline, with a deep sound. The higher end of both tracks is covered by melodic elements that sit very well on top of the mix. In all cases, the record really hits in the right place.
On his Instagram, Habstrakt posted a video of him playing ‘High’ at one of his shows. The French producer mentioned that the song was one of his favorite records recently.
Habstrakt has quite been busy over the last few months. In fact, he is part of the Confession vs Night Bass album and tour, a joint label project started by Tchami and AC Slater. At the beginning of the year, Habstrakt released his official remix of Tchami’s ‘Afterlife‘, which has been very effective in live shows, especially due to its originality. Habstrak is one of the best producers out there, and it shows songs after songs.
The Confession vs Night Bass tour is still going at the moment. If you wanna catch Habstrak and all of the other artists on this tour, you can check the schedule here. For now, you can listen to ‘High’ below.
