deadmau5 & Portugal. The Man continue the push into music NFTs with their latest contribution ‘this is fine.‘ Released on deadmau5’s namesake label mau5trap, ‘this is fine.’ can only be purchased as an NFT with no set date for a streaming release as of yet.
For deadmau5 fans looking to get a hold of the new track, ‘this is fine.’ is being sold as a collection of 1 million NFTs. 500,000 units were initially made available at Art Basel last week with the remaining 500,000 units available for purchase here on the Mintbase NFT marketplace. Currently, ‘this is fine.’ can be dowloaded for 0.25 NEAR per piece, at a price near $2.19, and purchasing multiples comes with unique bonuses and benefits.
Neither deadmau5 nor Portugal. The Man are new to NFTs and blockchain, but if the 1 million units are sold, they could be the first artists to go platinum in the US through an NFT release.
“NFTs aren’t really that complicated. What we are doing here is giving our millions of fans and people interested in NFT’s an easy way to get on board for an extremely reasonable price. The song is cool too,” said deadmau5.
