This year, attendees can expect performances from over 60 of dance music’s biggest names. Having said that, we’ve picked 5 stand-out artists, that we think you need to see at Groove Cruise Orlando 2022.

5 Stand-Out Artists

J. Worra

Classic house meets new-school tech with Native Chicagoan now-Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Jamie Sitter, a.k.a. J. Worra. Best known for her creativity as a producer, her skills behind the decks are also some of the best around

She’s released on tastemaker labels such as Never Worry Records, Higher Ground, Sink or Swim, Club Sweat, and Realm Records. In addition to this, she’s dropped numerous official remixes for Gorgon City, Kaskade, deadmau5, and even Sidepiece. Some of her notable appearances have included events such as EDC Las Vegas, Dirtybird Campout, Lightning in a Bottle, and CRSSD.

She recently dropped a three-track EP titled ‘some ppl fall’, which you can check out, here.

Nala

There have been few DJ/ Producers who’ve experienced the type of meteoric rise that Nala has. Originally from the vibrant city of Miami, Nala got her start playing in underground nightclubs, which is where she developed her reputation as a reliable tastemaker and energetic performer.

At the moment, Nala is a hardworking member of the Los Angeles electronic music scene and a resident DJ at the notable after-hours event series, Lights Down Low. Her positive attitude and infectious DJ style recently caught the attention of Dirtybird Records’ founder, Claude VonStroke, who now actively manages her career. If a co-sign from CVS isn’t enough to get you wanting to see her, I’m not sure what is.

Nala recently dropped a new EP in collaboration with Claude VonStroke titled ‘Everything Is Burning‘, which you can listen to below.

MitiS

MitiS, also known as Joseph Torre, has been perfecting his unique interpretation of piano-driven melodic bass music since 2010. Growing up in Pennsylvania, MitiS was trained as a classical pianist from a young age. His early musical life became the foundation of his artistic endeavors in both production and live performance.

Performing a live set that integrates production chops and piano roots creates an encompassment of both his early music endeavors and his current vision of musical composition. He’s an artist in the purest form sense, pouring his soul into every release. With millions of streams across all platforms and multiple charting releases, MitiS has built a devoted and loyal fan base helping to propel his artistry to the next level. It should be noted that MitiS is the only non-house dj/producer on this list, so take that as you will. I for one am overly excited to see him live.

MitiS recently dropped a 22-track album titled ‘Lost that you can stream below. This should be more than enough to show what he’s made of.

LP Giobbi

LP Giobbi is one of the most forward-thinking, boundary-breaking artists disrupting dance music today. Widely known for her live performances, this lends itself well to her unique take on piano-house. The Oregon-born, Los Angeles-based DJ /producer seems to be able to do it al. Apart from her artist career, she is also a label owner, curator, music director, feminist, entrepreneur, and the quintessential Piano House Queen.

Giobbi is the founder of FEMME HOUSE which is the platform she uses to address the glaring gender inequity and lack of representation in electronic music. Through Femme House, she aims to empower women to learn the arts of music production and audio engineering.

Giobbi also happens to be the North American Music Director for W Hotels and is also the Co-Founder of the label Animal Talk, alongside SOFI TUKKER.

LP Giobbi’s song ‘Carry Us‘ alongside vocalist Kaleena Zanders was named one of Billboard’s ‘Top 40 dance songs of 2021’. You can check that out below, for a peek of her magical take on house music.

John Summit

Firstly, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last one & a half years or so, I’m sure you’ve heard of ‘Chicago’s tech-house golden boy‘, John Summit. He recently took home the title of being ‘Beatport’s best-selling artist of 2021,” which is a giant feat in and of itself. If that wasn’t enough, he made nearly all of our end-of-year lists here at EDMTunes, including Rising Stars, Top 10 Remixes, and Top 20 Tracks. He made his way onto the last list twice, with his tunes ‘Sun Came Up‘ & ‘Make Me Feel’. Despite this, 2021 was jam-packed, release-wise, for the Chicago-native.

Secondly, this year alone, we’ve seen him drop ‘Witch Doctor‘ alongside the legendary Nic Fanciulli, ‘Sun Came Up‘ with Sofi Tukker, and ‘Thin Line‘ alongside Guz. In addition to this, he released fan favorites such as ‘Make Me Feel‘, ‘Better Than This’, ‘Beauty Sleep’, and his most recent ‘Human’. In a world where originals rule, Summit was not scared to drop remixes of some of dance music’s biggest songs. You may have heard his remix of Gorgon City‘s ‘You’ve Done Enough’, or maybe even Purple Disco Machine‘s ‘Dopamine’. His remix of Sofi Tukker’s ‘Drinkee’ alongside Vintage Culture was also a standout track.

While John Summit’s release schedule for 2021 was nothing short of legendary, his touring schedule was just as amazing. For example, Summit somehow managed to play seven sets, over the course of the EDC LV weekend (four days), with one of them being in Texas, to include the festival’s opening ceremony. Lastly, for a taste of what John Summit has to offer, check out his personal Spotify playlist, below.
