NGHTMRE is no stranger to this world, especially in music. He’s been working immensely hard since 2014. The Connective-native has done everything. From collabs with The Chainsmokers to Skrillex and from Seven Lions to Wiz Khalifa – he has dominated. His discography is beyond impressive. Tyler Marenyi is here to stay. And now he’s brought upon another track to add to his career. And, he can also add two more groups of extremely talented artists to his list of collaborations. We meet these two new duos for the NGHTMRE’s latest track, ‘Speak Easy‘.
First off, we have Ghostlo. Originally from Minneapolis, Lauren McLaughlin and David Knoblauch bring and specialize in new age bass, downtempo, and hypnotized electric sounds to the table. Additionally, on the track, we have Alexandar Smash. Comprised of TJ Mizell and Seb Marmolejo, the two close friends combined bring their very precise bass-centric skills into the 3 minute and 45 second song.
‘Speak Easy’ is very lighthearted. It begins with soothing and a reassuring voice, provided by Ghostlo, as it gradually and smoothly increases in tempo. “‘Speak Easy’ was one of those tracks that really came together quick in the studio,” NGHTMRE said in a press release. “The creative flow the first day I worked with Alexandar Smash in the studio was awesome and we got most of the idea done. As soon as I heard the vocals I knew how it was going to sound. It’s rare when that happens but it’s the best feeling.” ‘Speak Easy’ will surely be heard in every set NGHTMRE will perform in 2021 and beyond. Listen below!
