Governors Ball is returning among the many fall events we have slated this year. Setting up in Citi Field parking lot, this new location will celebrate the historic event’s 10th anniversary. In the past, it’s been held in June at Randall’s Island. Now, they’re taking place from September 24-26th. The venue previously hosted Rolling Loud New York, so I know that the setup will be great.
The three-day extravaganza is hosting a multitude of artists from pop, rap, and electronic. Mainstays include Billie Eilish, Da Baby, Rufus du Sol, Portugal the Man, and more on Friday. Saturday boasts A$AP Rocky, Megan Thee Stallion, The Brothers Macklovitch (A-Trak & Dave 1), and plenty others. Sunday sees Post Malone, 21 Savage, Ellie Goulding, Young Thug, Jamie xx, and much, much more. Which day are you most looking forward to?
From The Team:
“2021 marks our 10th anniversary, and oh what a wild ride it has been. Thank you to the fans, the artists, the City, and everyone who’s supported us along the way. We do it all for you, and we always will.
To celebrate the magic that is Gov Ball, here’s a look back at past years and what made each of them so unique. We’ve included the great, the not-so-great, and also some behind-the-scenes stuff that we think it’s time people know about. It’s all a part of our story, and it’s all for your reading pleasure.
Cheers Ballers – here’s toÂ
TEAM GOV BALLÂ10Â 50 more.”
What’s more is the venue features a 360° layout just like The Meadows Festival. Covered with high grade astroturf and other comforting amenities, this sounds like it’s going to be an eloquent event for fall. Walking on pavement back and forth is not always the best when you’re dancing and indulging in libations. Therefore, event organizers seem to be stepping up to the plate while adhering to all state and federal guidelines mandated at the time of the event for COVID safety.
