When the second addition of Secret Sky was announced a few days ago, we expected the supporting artists to be announced slowly. Boy, were we wrong. Porter Robinson jumped on social media in an extremely special way to let us know who will perform. The well-known artist shared a four-minute video on Twitter that included small acoustic snippets of songs – played on the piano by Porter himself – that the additional artists have released. It’s a gorgeous video that showcases Porter’s musical talent.
Artists
It didn’t take too long for the huge Porter fans and many alike to figure out all the artists. Within an hour, the full list of artists were circulating all social media platforms. It’s quite a heavy lineup! We’ve got some of the biggest names out there. BAAUER and Boys Noize grace the top of the list. Porter’s good friend, REZZ, will also be joining. About two years ago, Rezz shared a very articulate and intense version of ‘Divinity’ that quickly grabbed Porter’s attention. Near the end of 2020, she also remixed his stunning ‘shehealseverything’. It’s hard to question his choice of including her in the lineup.
Another favorite of Porter’s is Kero Kero Bonito. The group accompanied him during Second Sky in 2019. The British indie pop band from London showcased their amazing talents to the crowd and immediately grabbed everyone’s attention. End of the World, James Ivy, Laxcity, Serph, and Swardy will join in on the fun along with Wave Racer, Imanu b2b Buunshin, Masakatsu Takagi, No Rome, Salute, and Yvette Young will add to the all day festival on April 24th, just a day after Nurture is released.
