The life of the legendary DJ and producer will be the story of a new book coming out at the end of the year. The biography will recap Avicii‘s incredible journey on earth. Tim Bergling‘s family officially approved the book. The release date for North America is November 16th via the Mobius platform. Certainly, many members of the EDM community, big or small, will get a copy of it.
April 20 will mark the three-year anniversary of the death of Avicii, who died tragically at 28 years old. The book, named, Tim: The Official Biography of Avicii, was written by award-winning Swedish Måns Mosesson. It contains interviews with Avicii’s family, friends, and colleagues. Mosesson also retraced some of Bergling’s adventures, going from Stockholm to Miami, Ibiza, and Los Angeles.
Obviously, the biography ventures into the world of mental health issues and addiction, which was part of Tim’s life. A press release stated that “the book paints an honest picture of Tim and his search in life, not shying from the difficulties that he struggled with”. The goal is to make people talk about it. Like Tim’s father once said, “the more society opens up to talk about this, I think that it will be a big help”.
The proceeds from Tim, The Official Biography of Avicii will go directly to the Tim Bergling Foundation. In case you didn’t remember, the foundation, set up by his family, supports mental illness and suicide prevention.
This could be a special year for Avicii’s fans, especially since there may be unreleased songs upcoming in addition to his biography.
