While a handful of spring and summer festivals have postponed to fall, Shambhala Music Festival has decided once and for all to postpone this year’s edition to 2022. This follows a statement from the country’s Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry earlier this month that suggests proceeding in 2021 is not possible.

It is with a heavy heart we must announce the postponement of this year’s edition of Shambhala Music Festival to 2022. Read the full statement here: https://t.co/Hl1qHce4lk pic.twitter.com/V5jBar1kbi
While disappointed, understanding fans havev applauded the announcement, calling it the “right,” “smart” and “responsible” decision. Shambhala had already postponed its 2021 event multiple times in the past.
Tickets for 2021 can be redeemed for not only the 2022 edition, but also for 2023 and 2024. The deadline for choosing the year of attendance has also been extended; the exact date will be announced in 2022, leaving plenty of time for ticket-holders to decide. An email with further details will be sent in the coming months.
Organisers have also noted that they have already begun planning for Shambhala 2022, promising a “truly spectacular and a special event for our Farmily”.
We thank you for your continued support, it means the world to us. We miss all of our guests, crew, artists, and vendors deeply. Until we are together again, take forth the spirit of Shambhala: love one another, embrace our differences, dance like no one’s watching, express yourself and always, be kind.
