Although the Axon 20 5G will be on the markets later this month, you will not be able to get it in the US yet. ZTE plans to release the Axon 20 5G in 11 countries and regions on December 21st. Some of them include the UK, European Union, Japan, and South Korea. The Axon 20 5G will be the first phone with an under-display camera that people can purchase normally. While the price tag of the device has not been announced, we suppose it will not be cheap.
Specs of the Axon 20 5G
If we take a look at the specifications of the device, we notice that the main feature is the camera. The Axon 20 5G runs on a Snapdragon 765G chip with 8GB of RAM. This is definitely one of the most popular configurations in the upper mid-range. The phone display offers a 90Hz refresh rate and it also runs DTS:X Ultra 3D sound. Obviously, the crown jewel of the Axon 20 5G is the 6.92-inch FHD+ OLED screen that uses a combination of materials, display syncing, and a ‘special matrix’ to hide a 32-megapixel selfie camera. In terms of design, it is one of the most interesting phones on the market.
Regarding photography, the device also contains a 64MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro cam, and a 2MP depth sensor. In terms of autonomy, the Axon 20 has a decent 4,220mAh battery. Although it is not huge, it should be more than enough to last a whole day. This creative and innovative phone also has 5G connectivity and 30W fast charging.
The launch of this phone in the US is not expected as ZTE is banned in the country. Keeping that in mind, the launch of the first phone with an under-display camera will set a precedent for new devices with this feature.
