Road to Ultra Taiwan took place a few weeks ago and was one of the very few 2020 normal big-scale events that we’ve seen this year. If you missed it, Ultra just released their official recap, a mini after movie of the event.
Ultra Taiwan had a short but top-notch lineup. Acts included Alesso, SLANDER, Kayzo, and Vini Vici. As we saw earlier this year, Ultra Miami was one of the first major festivals to face cancellation this year. The Taiwan edition gives us hope of seeing normal live events soon.
If you wanna know what a back-to-normal festival looks like, one of members covered the event for you. Check out our recap, and have a glance at the first big-scale event since the Covid Crisis.
Unlike other after-movies, comments are disabled on this recap. Ultra most probably prefers to avoid comments by frustrated fans and possible arguments regarding the event and the ongoing Covid crisis.
It is worth noting however that Taiwan has a solid and strict strategy to prevent the spread of COVID-19. That includes a reinforced quarantine for all travelers coming into the country. As a result, DJs performing at Ultra Taiwan had to go through a 14 days quarantine with their teams before the event. However, they were fined for violating quarantine rules after meeting in a common hotel area to eat and rehearse for the show.
You can listen to all the DJ sets here. Alesso’s Set is also available in video format. The Swedish DJ delivered one of his classic Progressive House performances with new tracks and 3 unrevealed IDs.
