Actor Vin Diesel is dropping his second single on Friday, under Kygo’s Palm Tree Records label. The Fast & Furious star has been teasing the track, titled ‘Days Are Gone,’ with its hashtag on social media for more than a week. Vin Diesel hasn’t shared any snippets of the song or disclosed its genre, so no spoilers ahead of the release.
Vin Diesel mentioned ‘Days Are Gone’ in an Instagram post on October 20 about why he ventured into music.
“You all know how deep I go into the films I make.. this year there was no film production. An artist must have a creative outlet…” he wrote in the caption.
“You who made my [Facebook] first to 100 million, you who have always encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone saved me, because I was able to make music this year!!! Will always love you. 10 days until the next single!”
He completed the post with #DaysareGone.
Kygo Collaboration
‘Days Are Gone’ is coming out under Kygo’s label, according to We Rave You. Vin Diesel released his debut single, ‘Feel Like I Do,’ in late September with the Norwegian tropical house DJ. It is a nicely produced, feel-good trop house tune that made it onto two Billboard dance/electronic charts. The included reaching No. 18 on the multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart earlier this month, thanks to 1.13 million streams in the U.S. in the week ending October 1, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
Vin Diesel is the latest Hollywood celebrity to make a foray into the dance music industry. Reality TV actress Paris Hilton has been DJing for years. Meanwhile, former Los Angeles Lakers player Shaquille O’Neal has also hit the decks as DJ Diesel. Both Paris Hilton and Shaq have even played sets at Tomorrowland.
