The Techno Legend Layton Giordani released his sophomore album, New Generation. This album comes three years after the release of his debut album on Drumcode.
Since the release of his debut album, Where It Begins in 2017, Giordani has established himself as one of the leaders of his style and one of the hottest names in Drumcode.
At 27 years old, he has collaborated with Adam Beyer and Green Velvet on multiple occasions. Also with the legendary Danny Tenaglia for ‘Live Again’, as well as traveling the world playing some of the biggest festivals in electronic music.
Some weeks ago, Layton announced his new album on social media which fans have clamored for. New Generation is a futuristic techno masterclass and a shining example of Giordani’s ever-developing talent as a producer. His inspiration was to travel and collaborate with various artists around the world.
Layton Giordani – New Generation of music
” This album is a summary of my life experiences up to this point. Traveling the world, living abroad, looking to the future, and bringing atmospheres and textures from different places to my music. The evolution of music is a systematic cycle that never ends. It is a composition of all the issues experienced and visualized up to this moment. From futuristic realms and environments to urban soundscapes at our fingertips. ‘New Generation’ is the future distilled in album form”

As a result, New Generation cuts through soul, disco, jazz, and funk until it accelerates to jungle-tinged house and techno beats.
The album’s title track is already a favorite among Drumcode fans. Accompanied by a swarm of cool synthesizers that made a splash at the Awakenings Festival, Tomorrowland, and Gashouder in the second half of 2019.
The album has direct tracks to make everyone dance at the club or festival. At the same time, it holds atmospheres that make the album sustain complex textures. Regarding collaborations, it hosts Green Velvet, Bart Skils, and the rising star Avision.
‘Powers‘ ranks as one of the hottest records on the album. This was a track that would’ve been everywhere had festivals proceeded as normal. Adam Beyer rinsed the track as an ID dating way back to December of 2019, and it’s still going strong now. Instantly, it’s catchiness with the bassline hooks you, and the vocal makes it hard to forget. Whenever shows return, be on the lookout for this one.
