Bonnaroo Arts and Music Festival postpones its event, once again, after confirming its return for June 2021. The Tennessee festival will now take place from September 2 – 5, 2021.
Due to the uncertainty and concerns of the length of the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers made the decision to postpone the festival for the third time.
The festival initially planned to take place in June 2020 but was postponed to September 2020 due to the beginning of the pandemic. Later, Bonnaroo rescheduled its dates a second time to June 2021.
This news comes just a few days after Bonnaroo held its first virtual festival, which ran for three days.
Ticketholders will be able to rollover their passes or request a refund. Beginning on September 30, fans can log into their Frontgate account and select the refund option. Ticketholders will only have until October 31 to receive their money back. Once the refund window ends, tickets will automatically rollover.
There are speculations that this new postponement can be an initial start to a potential trend for festivals. According to Festive Owl, festival-goers should expect to see more events being rescheduled to Fall 2021 or 2022.
