Another rescheduled music festival bites the dust as Escapade Music Festival’s new 2020 dates have been canceled. The Canadian event is now taking place in 2021.
According to an official statement made by Escapade, there were plans to continue holding the postponed dates in Septemeber. Safety measures were expected to be put in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus within the community. However, due to mass gathering restrictions in Ontario, they are unable to continue with the event.
“The health and safety of each and every one of you as well as every member of our surrounding communities is our number one priority. After continuous consultations with the City of Ottawa, Ottawa Public Health, and the Province of Ontario, it saddens us to announce that Bud Light Escapade will not be able to move forward with the 2020 edition.”
New Additions For Escapade 2021
Due to the unfortunate cancellation, Escapade is looking to make the 2021 edition extra special. Although the majority of the event will be the same, there will be some new additions for ticketholders who choose to rollover their passes. This includes:
- A third day will be added to the festival for those keeping their current passes for the new dates.
- An exclusive main stage that will feature artists such as Steve Aoki, SLANDER, Nicky Romero, and Habstrakt. Those who rollover their 2020 passes will be able to take part in this experience.
- Performances by The Chainsmokers, ILLENIUM, Kaskade, Don Diablo, Robin Schulz, Claptone, Chris Lake, Gareth Emery, NGHTMRE, Seven Lions, Griz, and Flux Pavillion.
Those unable to attend the new festival dates will be able to request a refund. Furthermore, details on this process will be sent to ticket holders on Thursday, August 6.
Escapade will be announcing its 2021 lineup on Thursday, August 6th. Stay tuned for the official announcement.
