The deep and progressive legend Ben Böhmer has released his latest track ‘Motherboard’, previously shared on his live album from Printworks London.
The Berlin-based DJ and producer has risen through the ranks over the past 18 months, accumulating more than 50 million streams across his original and remixes. He also picked up BBC Radio 1 support from Annie Mac and Pete Tong, including an ‘Essential New Tune’, as well as recognition on Billboard’s ‘Ones To Watch’ and FAZE Magazine’s Top 10 Breakthrough Artists of 2020.
Following the release of his debut LP Breathing in 2019, his latest journey takes you to the deep, emotional music notes with the three-track ‘Phases’ EP – a set of exuberant club themes. This work looks like a nostalgic evocation of an innocent moment to celebrate, even more with ‘Motherboard’. It comes out on August 26 on Anjunadeep.
The first single released from this magical EP was ‘Zeit & Raum‘, with a dark-deep approach. Now, he releases a quieter but more emotional work. Böhmer’s ‘Motherboard’ brings a constant rhythm with melodics and his signature deep signature sound, although it does not hold such a dark atmosphere as his other tracks.
The vocals in the track provide a sense of ambient tranquility, reinforcing the content of Bohmer’s rhythmic work. It’s a piece of music made for those magic moments on the dancefloor just before dawn, perfect for a club closing set.
