Detroit’s techno music festival, Movement, has sadly been canceled due to the current global pandemic. After discussions with various city officials and event organizers, the decision was made to push back the event to 2021.
Movement Electronic Music Festival was recently rescheduled due to the coronavirus. Expected to take place in September, organizers and future attendees felt that the harmful sickness and the current pandemic would subside by the rescheduled dates. However, as COVID-19 cases continue to rise immensely throughout the United States, it seems that the situation may not be better by September. This unfortunate news may be an indicator that other rescheduled festivals may be in jeopardy.
To make up for the sad news, Movement has released a teaser of the 2021 lineup. Filled with many popular performers, it features artists such as ANNA, Maceo Plex, MK, Seth Troxler, TESTPILOT, Tokimonsta, and more. Certainly, this teaser reveals that the Detroit-music festival will be going bigger than ever next year.
Current ticket holders will have their passes honored for the 2021 edition. No action is required if future attendees choose to attend next year’s event. However, pass holders can also choose to request a refund in case they are unable to attend the festival. Furthermore, information on the refund process will be given by Friday, July 10th.
For those who plan to purchase a ticket for the 2021 event, passes have already gone on sale. Taking place on May 29th – 31st, purchasers have the option to choose from 3-Day and 1-Day passes.
