In these uncertain times, many event spaces are getting creative to help increase their revenue. The most recent being Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. As the fate of sports (football in this case) is still unclear – the stadium has decided to make use of their space in a way that guests can still feel safe.
What are they doing? Making it a drive in theater…an idea that’s increasing in popularity lately. The stadium will show everything from movies, to events, and old Miami Dolphins footage. BUT, that’s not all.
In the South Plaza of the stadium, there will be a “socially distant” lounge area for private viewing parties. (Think of this as the festival VIP section)
The drive-in events will take place on the Hard Rock field, holding up to 230 cars. With Hurricane season on the horizon, the good thing about the Dolphins stadium, is that the roof is retractable. A HUGE bonus for those rainy Florida days.
Worried you might get hungry? Rest assured, you may pre-order various food and drink to be delivered to your car. With all these new ideas, it’s safe to say they have thought of it all to not only keep you safe, but well fed and 6 feet apart too.
While there has been no official opening date, anyone interested can sign up on the Hard Rock’s website for all of the most up to date news surrounding this.
What do you think, will you go to a drive in even if you can’t attend a football game?
