By now, the COVID-19 pandemic has drilled its insanity into all our minds. Boomers, Zoomers, and Millenials alike–join Tiktok (if you haven’t already) for some fun. TikTok is launching donation stickers as a way for creators to raise funds from their videos.
The online platform has shamelessly become a top platform for live streaming and entertainment. March and April saw growth in a lot of online platforms, including Twitch, TikTok, and Facebook. Therefore, TT is taking a play out of Twitch’s and Facebook’s playbook and adding donations.
Embed these stickers in videos and live streams. When a user taps on the sticker, a pop-up window appears to submit a donation. Tiltify is the donation platform. TikTok partnered with select organizations to celebrate the launch of this new feature.
For a limited time, TikTok will match any donations until May 27th. Look out for the hashtag #doubleyourimpact on all featured videos eligible for donations.
“Tiltify was created to provide a simple but engaging way for charities and content creators to raise funds through popular social platforms…The partnership with TikTok is our first mobile-driven integration and will make it easier than ever for hundreds of millions of TikTok users around the globe to support their favorite charities and causes.” – Michael Wasserman, CEO of TikTok
You can donate to the following charities: CDC Foundation, James Beard Foundation, Meals on Wheels, MusiCares, and National PTA. It also includes the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, No Kid Hungry, and The Actors Fund.
Users: add the donation sticker to any video by clicking on the [COVID-19] sticker. Choose your preferred organization and embed the sticker onto your video. Share your catchy slogan with your followers and help continue to support the coronavirus relief.
