Remote Utopias joins the digital live events roster since the global lockdown of COVID–19. This weekend, join Skrillex, Four Tet, Erykah Badu, Tame Impala, and more for an incredible audiovisual showcase!
This stacked virtual lineup could challenge upcoming festivals (if any). Since all artists have halted their touring, what better place to work than the internet? NTS Radio is throwing this virtual event and will donate to The Global Foodbanking Network.
Remote Utopias is set to start their 24-hour run on NTS.Live. This starts Saturday, May 2nd at 8:45 pm EST/5:45 pm PST. Mark your calendars for another unique weekend full of awesome music. You’ll get more than DJs streaming their sets. Erykah Badu is guiding a meditation session, chock full of poetry and photography showcases. Jonah Hill, Bicep, Zack Fox, and JPEGMAFIA will also be making an appearance. Grime giant JME presents a radio show of some killer video game music while Brazilian funk carioca producer, Iasmin Turbininha, takes over as well.
You’ll be able to access this across two live channels, bringing musicians, DJS, artists, and filmmakers together. As a worldwide phenomenon, get ready for this amalgamation of all musical genres, exclusive premieres, radios, and video streams live.
The event encourages listeners to donate when they tune in. Since the pandemic hit, multiple industries have been hit hard. No one knows when we’ll get out of phase 1, but food shortages may be possible. Therefore, this is a great cause. We’d like to thank sponsors like Jameson for their support.
For more information regarding the event, you can visit their website here. Check out the full lineup below. Do your research on whoever or don’t. The goal here is to raise enough for those in need during this difficult time.
Hope to see you all there and to hear your reviews on an event like this.
