Fans who attended a music event shortly before COVID-19 lockdown restrictions are probably reminiscing hardcore right about now. Those included are the Los Angeles crowd that saw Carl Cox perform at Grand Park on February 29, a total of 46 days ago. The techno king performed a 2-hour set to a crowd of devoted fans; and for those of you who didn’t get the chance to see him, it looks like you’re in for a treat. You can now stream the set on Factory 93‘s Soundcloud here.
Although morale is low due to being cooped up in our homes, this set will surely improve the mood of fans. While we count the days to normality and are able to return to festivals and clubs, we can at least keep ourselves busy for now with this newly uploaded set.
The consequences of COVID-19 has already ruined many events (RIP Tomorrowland 2020), but the EDM scene has been working together to fight this worldwide threat and stay afloat. Many artists have been part of virtual festivals to raise funds for those affected by COVID-19.
Although many fans are deprived of live events, artists are doing their part by consistently releasing new music and sets to keep us busy in the mean time. A couple weeks ago, Carl Cox shared with fans his new release ‘Pure’. The world-class artist also posted his CRSSD set from this year, where he performed shortly after his Grand Park appearance.
They can make us stay at home, but they can’t take music away from us. Make sure to enjoy this wonderful set brought by Factory 93 and the one and only Carl Cox. Stay home and stay safe.
