Daniel ‘Lane 8’ Goldstein returns with a new release on ‘Bear Hug‘ which is out via his own imprint, This Never Happened. This marks the first original single trailing the ‘Brightest Lights‘ album which received great acclaim.
a few months ago i went into the mountains on a vision quest of sorts. i stayed in a cabin that had a huge painting of a bear with its arms stretched out and i spent a lot of time staring at that bear while i made this song.

Lane 8’s ‘Bear Hug’ comes rather out of left field melodically considering what he’s been releasing throughout the year. It kicks off with an ominous melodic tone which builds into a heating rhythm with a bodied bass tone. From there on, it takes a droning synth approach as it elevates back.
This Never Happened
When it comes down to Lane 8’s label, This Never Happened, they released two new EPs by Khåen and Massane. It’s surely to continue its output, and you can enter their mailing list through the website here.
Veering away, the ‘Brightest Lights’ tour is currently on a halt with show dates being rescheduled. Keep your eyes peeled on his website for any further updates. For the time being, Daniel has been live streaming sets on Instagram and his Twitch channel which will act as the foundation for a special mixtape to come.
