As we remain early in our lockdown / social distancing days, we’re on an ongoing mission to find new forms of entertainment, and latest in store for you is Galantis‘ Virtual Concert. This had been live-streamed a few weeks back, when news of event cancellations had just started trickling in.
In celebration of the duo’s third studio album, Church which released early February, the virtual concert was a partnership with Wave, creator of the world’s first multi-channel visual entertainment platform for live concerts. In simpler terms, the company helped transform Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw into custom avatars using motion capture technology. Immersed in radiant colours and effects, the 30-minute set was everything Galantis represents. In other words, great music and psychedelic visuals.
As is the case with most other artists, touring plans for Galantis are on hold. Regardless, the Swedish electronic duo promises to be spending this time to make new music, so that’s something to look forward to! And to end with a bit of positivity, here are some words of encouragement from Galantis.
