SiriusXM Radio is broadcasting Ultra Virtual Audio Festival on Friday, March 20. It will include exclusive DJ sets from the original lineup. That means Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Above & Beyond, Major Lazer, and more. We are happy to see that in light of social distancing, our industry can turn this situation upside down.
DJ sets from past Ultras will also be featured, including those from Kygo, The Chainsmokers, Marshmello, Zedd, plus much more. They’ve also got Carl Cox coming into the mix too. It’s time to take virtual raves to a new level this year, right?
“With the postponement of beloved events, necessary changes in people’s everyday life, and need for social distancing, we know our listeners are seeking a sense of community more than ever. To encourage that, we are pleased to be working with Ultra Music Festival to provide our listeners with this virtual audio festival featuring the diverse lineup of artists the UMF delivers year after year, as well as exclusive, fresh, new sets from some of the biggest names in dance music.”-Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer of SiriusXM.
If this is surprising to you, it shouldn’t be. SiriusXM has live-streamed UMF for 15 years. UMF Radio is a weekly show on Diplo’s Revolution channel as well. It airs Saturdays from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm EST.
No subscription? No problem. Those with tickets get an email offering access to UMF radio. New customers can try out the free trial subscription. For more info, visit their site here. We know it’s not the refund you are looking for. But it’s trying to be the entertainment you were hoping for.
So tune in on Friday at 5:00pm EST and stay tuned in until Monday, March 23rd. Make Channel 52, the SiriusXM app, and satellite radio your home for the weekend.
