SoundCloud has some big news for all artists alike. Users can now directly upload recordings to SoundCloud from their phones. The news comes fresh off the announcement of a $75 million investment from SiriusXM.
The new feature which will be helping artists load up their music on the go will allow users to upload in a variety of formats. Specifically, these formats include: FLAC, WAV, ALAC or AIFF for best audio quality).
Furthermore, SoundCloud also offers a variety of mobile-friendly tools to organize your music. With track, Spotlight, and profile editing part of the mobile toolkit, you can make a track private, feature your best work, and even update your bio. The Future of SoundCloud Seems Bright
SoundCloud currently has over 200 million tracks by 25 million creators across 180 countries. This new feature is only more positive evidence of the bright future for SoundCloud. As an artist, I always felt the mobile features were incredibly lacking, even with the artist companion app, but now this update changes everything. The huge investment from late last year seems to be going to good use, and only time will tell of the new features to come with the app.
