Trance titan Ben Gold is back. Today, the English DJ/Producer released his new track ‘Stepback’ featuring Allen Watts. The release is the third collaboration between these producers, out now via trance’s biggest label, Armada. And trust us: listening to this a must.
Unlike some of his most notable and latest work (at least for me), ‘Stepback’ is fully centered on the song’s melody. A rhythm-filled intro takes you into an echoed lead that’s simply amazing. The chords mix together and gain power as the track evolves and grows stronger. Then, after taking space to gather all the energy and a power-infusing build-up, the drop hits. It’s an amazing, classic trance drop with a melody that controls every particle of your body. It’s a drop that makes you jump, dance and go wild.
In short: ‘Stepback’ gives all the vibes. It’s as good as it gets.
I’ve said it before: I was never a trance person. I came to the scene as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Aoki, DVBBS and many more big room artists controlled the scene. Trance wasn’t something I was interested in. Fast forward to today – God bless trance. There are just too many good artists. However, Ben Gold will forever hold a special place in my heart. His music is just too good. Congratulations to Ben on this new, amazing track. May he continue to evolve and dominate the scene as he has done so far.
