UK dance veteran Jody Wisternoff and Anjunadeep’s James Grant have released the hypnotic title track and lead single off Wisternoff’s newly announced album, Nightwhisper. This is Jody’s first solo album after eight long years. It follows his 2012 debut LP, Trails We Blaze.
Wisternoff’s second solo LP comes during an introspective period for the prolific Bristol producer. Inspired by the notion of embracing impermanence, Wisternoff’s second album was born during a deep and emotional time for him because of a death in his family.
“It was a time of conflicting emotions for me… I suddenly found myself appreciating the simpler things in life in a way that I had never done before, but on an equal note also questioning mortality on a level that is only possible after the passing of a family member.”
Threading a soft vocal hook through a beautiful melodic progression, the iconic duo’s latest is reminiscent of their hit remix of Xinobi‘s ‘Far Away Place’. No doubt about it, the combination of these two always creates a piece of magic.
But there’s a lot to be excited for. Nightwhisper is set to be released on May 1st. The release is in conjunction with a world tour with dates in the US, Canada, Mexico, and various European countries. Keep an eye out for his show and preorder the vinyl here!
