Let’s all give a warm welcome to Getter for his return back to dubstep. The 26-year-old California native just released his first single of 2020 titled ‘Represent’. After experiencing backlash following his 2018 studio LP Visceral, bass music fans have received exactly what they’ve been waiting for. Although many fans had expectations for the album, he continues to display an eclectic range of creativity that many can appreciate.
Getter surprised us with a brand new dubstep track, infused with a halftime flow. The track plays out at 160 bpm which is not a usual move for most dubstep artists. ‘Represent’ is very reminiscent to his past work, applying a vast group of dark wobbles and snappy snare drums. The track carries a heavy bass line throughout, accompanied by catchy vocal hooks. This song will surely break necks this festival season.
You can catch Getter on various tour dates here, including the anticipated Hangout Festival in Alabama this May. We’re thrilled to hear what his next move may be. Getter is most definitely representing the dubstep community on this banger!
