The Church of Galantis is coming to New York this weekend. The Swedish duo, Galantis, will be performing at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn this Friday on Valentine’s Day. For those who have their date plans already, fear not! They will be playing a second show the following day on February 15.
Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw will be hitting the road to celebrate their third album, Church. The album is their latest album in the past three years. Their last album, Pharmacy, gave birth to classics such as ‘Runaway’, ‘Gold Dust’, and ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’.
Church comprises of 14 tracks that take listeners on a sonic journey of colorful synths and heartfelt tunes. While the majority of the collection is new, ‘Faith’ with Dolly Parton and ‘Holy Water’ have been crowd favorites for months. A few days prior to the album drop, lyrical heaters ‘Steel’ and ‘Stella’ were released. All in all, the album holds true to the duo’s signature sounds. The body of work has something for old fans and new fans to enjoy.
For those living around new York, you are fortunate enough to experience the church of Galantis this weekend. Supporting acts include Gattuso, Mahalo, and QRTR. On top of being able to listen to the Church album live, this is one party you don’t want to miss.
