Former Ultra Marketing Director Joins Miami’s SWARM Group

One of the most recognizable personalities from Ultra Music Festival is taking his talents to SWARM. Albert Berdellans famously resigned from his position as Marketing Director for Ultra a few months ago but is ready for a new start.

Time at Ultra

Albert Maloof Berdellans III worked at Ultra from 2012 in a variety of roles, including Marketing & New Media before catapulting to the Director of Marketing and Communications in 2019. He is also well-known by his Twitter handle, edmsnob, and became the “face” of Ultra in many respects. He was possibly the only employee of the festival that interacted with fans and artists publicly, which is why he became “the face” of the festival.

SWARM

This week SWARM, another Miami events group, announced that Albert would join its executive team as Vice President of Marketing. SWARM is responsible for many well-known events around Miami, such as Grovetoberfest, Basel House, and Wynwood Life. The group delivers events ranging from high-profile conferences, technology conventions, sports activations, to concerts or food & beverage festivals. If you attended Art Basel last week you definitely saw SWARM shirts and attended some SWARM events.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me, because SWARM has been making great strides and producing such wonderful events. Their customers love them, but most people have no idea that SWARM is the one hosting some of their favorite events. Establishing that name recognition is my priority.

Albert Berdellans

Few can bring brand recognition better than Albert. He oversaw Ultra’s momentous growth from a Miami music festival into a global powerhouse brand reaching six continents and nearly 30 countries.

Albert remarked on social media, “I thought I’d be taking a bit more time off, but the guys at SWARM could not have been more understanding and accommodating, developing this exciting position that will allow me to be closer to my family and not require me to travel nearly as much as I used to.

So now all eyes are on SWARM to see what the mind behind Ultra Music Festival can bring to the table for this burgeoning events group. We’re sure you’ll be hearing a lot more about SWARM in the months to come!
