Looking for some new playlists to listen to as we ring in the new year? Amazon Music has launched a new feature called “Choose Your Own DJ”, which is guaranteed to bring some nostalgia from the past year. As the name implies, users can pick curated playlists coming from 24 of the industries’ best DJs. Some of the artists include Diplo, The Chainsmokers, Alesso, Jax Jones, and Charlotte de Witte.
“These tracks include some of my favorite releases this year, stuff I’ve been playing out in my sets a ton, a bunch of remixes, and a lot of records by friends and artists I love.” – Diplo
Rather than the artist playlists already found on many streaming sites, Amazon has included some unique surprises. Each artists’ playlist will feature some of the artists’ favorite tracks and remixes. There will even be several Amazon exclusive releases like “This Is Real” by Jax Jones. Furthermore, if your listening to Lost Frequencies’ playlist, you’ll likely recognize tracks he’s played during his live shows as well.
In order to explore each of these playlists, one must be an Amazon Music Unlimited or Amazon Music HD subscriber. If you are, you’ll easily be able to ask your Alexa device to play any of the created playlists. For example, simply say, “Alexa, play [Artist Name’s] New Year’s Eve playlist”. If you aren’t sure which artist to choose from, you can also ask Alexa to pick a DJ for you.
