A lot of thought goes into a well-curated DJ set, especially in choosing a set opener. A good choice is one that gets crowds pumped, and sets the energy for what is to follow. It, therefore, speaks miles if multiple DJ’s pick the same track to open major festival sets. Having opened many of Vini Vici‘s sets the past few months, and more recently Armin van Buuren’s set at AMF, the widely-anticipated track ‘Moyoni‘ is finally out on Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s Smash the House imprint!
‘Moyoni’ premiered at Vini Vici’s set at Tomorrowland this year, and proved to be a crowd favorite there and then. The single marks the second collaboration between the Israeli electronic duo and Jean Marie, with whom they had previously produced ‘Gaia‘. The two’s signature psytrance sounds are then further complimented with elements of ‘natural trance’ created by featured artist Hilight Tribe. The end result is a catchy, high-energy track that will likely continue to gain exposure in the upcoming festival season.
Here’s an additional fun fact for you. ‘Moyoni’ itself is a Swahili word and translates as ‘within the heart‘. One thing’s for sure, it’s definitely within ours! Relive the moment that ‘Moyoni’ was first played at Tomorrowland below! The track is also available here on your preferred streaming platform.
