Matt Lange – Isn’t It Lovely EP
Matt Lange‘s Isn’t It Lovely EP is now out for all to hear on Above & Beyond‘s Anjunabeats imprint. Encompassing, the release includes three tracks, two of which we’ve heard before. On that note, the title track kicked off Anjunabeats Volume 14 while ‘Every Word‘ featuring Kerry Leva came out in October. The EP also includes various uplifting singles such as ‘Isn’t It Lovely’, ‘Every Word’, and ‘Push’ included extended mixes for the latter two.
Starting the EP off, ‘Isn’t It Lovely’ introduces us with a solemn piano as evocative strings conjoin. ‘Every Word’ then plays on eclectic notes which Matt is prominent with. Closing out the body of work with a new track, ‘Push‘ has an emotion-filled essence to it. Bodied pads envelop while crackling percussive elements arise. From there, Matt inputs deeper tones with his kicks and bass which fall into a cinematic, string and pad based breakdown. Overall, this sound has become a worthwhile staple of the artist marking his keen ear. Regardless if you’re at home or in a club, there’s an engaging place where his music can always live.
Matt Lange definitely retains a musical identity like no other artist paving his own way.
