Like a man possessed, Kai Wachi stalks back and forth across stages throughout the country along his Demigod Tour. With each stop, he unleashes a bit of madness from inside his mind upon a crowd of unsuspecting bass-heads. Certainly, he’s summoning more denizens into his horde in each city while unveiling a trove of malevolent tunes. Furthermore, just as his tour is kicking into high gear, he’s finalizing his release schedule with a Kannibalen Records release – the All My Demons EP. The eight-track production is a collection of his dark, bass-heavy creations that bring the malicious themes of his tour full circle. Indeed, it’s a window into the evolution of his sound and easily some of his best work yet.
Only recently, Kai Wachi delivers a fresh cut off of the All My Demons EP. ‘Silence‘ is definitely a standout track which brings that all too familiar pounding bassline winding around dark samples and synth tones. The album seeks to build upon that, taking what Kai is best known for and mixing in some new flavors. For instance, the title track ‘All My Demons‘ is fraught with melodic undertones but doesn’t sacrifice any of its demonic feels. Conversely, it creates an ominous sound with it’s gurgling and creaky samples which he welds together into a symphonic buildup. ‘Vapula,’ is another example of Kai Wachi’s neoteric style. Seemingly, it picks up where the first track leaves off packaging it with even more melodic drops and devilish samples.
This album is a prime example of where Kai’s at production-wise and fits in succinctly with the theme of the tour. Listen to All My Demons below and grab tickets to the Demigod Tour today!
