Today we have the pleasure of premiering Canadian DJ/Producer Crimson Child’s new piano-driven melodic bass single, “Heaven Rises” featuring Haydo, which is out on Music High Court. The Vancouver-based musician is known for his unique ability for blending stories, melodies, and dark electronic undertones which is demonstrated to great effect in “Heaven Rises” as Crimson Child takes listeners on a sonic journey of epic proportions filled with beautiful, piano-led down-tempo valleys and euphoric peaks.
With the project launching in 2018, Crimson Child has already released massive collaborations like “Ghost.exe” with HVDES, which was on his Stand Alone Complex EP on Kannibalen Records, and solo originals like the midtempo and drum & bass-infused hybrid fan favorite, “God Rays.” His cinematic and melody-driven bass music has also already caught the attention and support of trendsetters in electronic music like Excision, Whipped Cream, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Blanke, and Lick.
“Heaven Rises is a song about how quickly someone can enter and leave your life, the intensity of the moment’s they’re there, and the pain and emptiness after they leave. The arrangement conveys the passage of time, and the feeling of helplessness to what we feel.” – Crimson Child
